Webwise uses technology that avoids any information that might identify a user personally, and its cookies are anonymous.

This technology does not view any information on secure (HTTPS) pages, and ignores strings of numbers longer than three digits to ensure that we do not collect credit card numbers, phone numbers, national insurance numbers or other potentially private information.

The system does not attempt to identify you in any way and does not integrate with any system (like your ISP’s log-in system) that could identify you.

It never keeps records of individual websites that were visited or what someone is doing on the web. All Webwise stores are subject categories such as “Travel”, to make it easier to deliver ads around a person’s interests. Computers are assigned a random user identifier (cookie) to preserve anonymity but keep the ability to replace generic ads with more relevant ones.
